Today I will tell you how to make a universal Serbian sauce. Aivar from Bulgarian pepper is well stored in the pantry and will help you out in the winter. Appetizing, tender, moderately spicy sauce perfectly emphasizes the taste of any meat and goes well with fish.

Step by step cooking recipe

The sauce will be perfect in consistency if you use large meaty peppers. Prepare the ingredients, wash the peppers and remove the tails and seeds. Clean the garlic.

Pass the pepper and garlic through a meat grinder.

Place a mixture of peppers and garlic in a heavy-bottomed saucepan. Add spices, salt, sugar, vegetable oil and cook on fire for 30-40 minutes.

Add vinegar 5 minutes before the end of cooking. Boil for another 5 minutes and pour the sauce into sterilized jars. Store in a dark cool place.
