There are different ways to cook thick jam. And not always for this you need to boil it for hours. You can use little culinary tricks, for example – add agar-agar to it. Significant savings in time and effort!

Step by step cooking recipe

Remove the pits from the apricots, sprinkle the halves with sugar and leave for a couple of hours.

Boil the apricots for about 10 minutes under the lid and chop with a blender.

Fill the agar with water.

Boil the apricot puree and cook for another 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Pour in the agar and boil for another 5 minutes.

Roll the jam into sterile jars.
