Beans in tomato sauce for the winter

Beans in tomato sauce – a universal preparation for the winter. This is an independent healthy lean dish, a dressing for soups and an excellent side dish for your culinary masterpieces. Such a home-made preparation is definitely tastier than store-bought, and vegetarians will certainly appreciate it.

Step by step cooking recipe

Soak beans in cold water overnight. Then drain the water, rinse the beans under running water and boil without salt until tender. Depending on the bean variety, this can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours. Remove cooked beans from heat and leave in a pot of water.

Prepare tomato sauce. Rinse the tomatoes, chop and grind in a blender until puree.

Place the tomato puree in a saucepan and boil over low heat for 15-25 minutes after boiling. Adjust the cooking time depending on the desired consistency of the sauce. Then again beat the hot mass with a blender until smooth.

Drain the beans in a colander to drain excess liquid, then place in a saucepan with tomato sauce, salt, sugar, minced garlic, vinegar and spices. Stir, put on fire and boil for 20 minutes after boiling.

Pack hot beans in tomato sauce in pre-prepared jars, roll up and cool upside down. The cooled workpiece is perfectly stored at room temperature.
