Canned herring for the winter

What lovers of conservation just do not prepare for the winter. For example, such a herring preparation will be very useful if you suddenly want fish or guests unexpectedly arrive. This is a completely ready-made snack, with which nothing needs to be done.

Step by step cooking recipe

Peel the herring, cut into pieces and put in clean jars. Add spices and salt.

Put them in a pot of water over a water bath, cover the pot with a lid and leave a small gap for steam.

Bring the structure to a boil and cook the herring for 5 hours over low heat, adding boiling water as needed.

Roll up the jars with lids.
