Canned herring with vegetables for the winter

These canned food come in handy when there is no time to cook dinner. Open a jar of canned herring with vegetables, put on a beautiful plate and serve with bread. I advise you to cook this dish in a thick-walled cauldron.

Step by step cooking recipe

Cut the herring fillet into large pieces.

Peel the tomatoes and chop.

Grate the carrots, chop the hot pepper and peeled onion.

In a deep cauldron, heat the oil, add the onion and carrots and fry for 3-5 minutes.

Add hot peppers, tomatoes and spices. Simmer everything together for 10 minutes.

Add pieces of herring, water mixed with sugar and salt. Cover with a lid and simmer for 1.5 hours over low heat.

Arrange hot canned food in sterilized jars and roll up.
