Canned melon for the winter without sterilization

Be sure to try this recipe! Canned melon can be added to desserts, pastries and served as an independent dish. Few can resist a portion of such a fragrant treat.


  • Melon –
    1 kg
  • Sugar
    150 Mr
  • Lemon acid
    0,5 c.l.
  • Water
    1 l

Step by step cooking recipe

Cut the melon in half, remove the seeds and peel.

Cut into small pieces and place in prepared jars.

Pour boiling water over and leave for 25-30 minutes.

Drain the water into a saucepan, boil for 3 minutes and pour back into the jars.

After half an hour, pour the cooled syrup into a saucepan, add sugar and citric acid and boil for 2 minutes.

Pour boiling syrup into jars and roll up.
