Green tomato salad for the winter


Today I will share a recipe for a delicious green tomato salad with carrots and onions. This recipe is especially for you if you do not know where to attach green tomatoes. We will cook without sterilization, which means that even a novice hostess will cope with the preparation.

Step by step cooking recipe

Rinse the tomatoes, cut into medium slices.

Peel and grate the carrots on a coarse grater, cut the onion into half rings.

Peel the Bulgarian pepper from seeds and stalks, cut into cubes.

Combine the prepared vegetables in a cooking pot, add salt, mix well and leave for 3 hours at room temperature so that the vegetables release the juice.

Then place the saucepan with the salad over the heat, bring to a boil and simmer over low heat, stirring occasionally, for 30 minutes.

Add sugar, vegetable oil and vinegar, spices (optional), mix and boil for another 15 minutes.

Pack the boiling salad in pre-sterilized jars, seal tightly, turn upside down and leave to cool completely. Transfer the cooled workpiece to storage in a cool dark place.
