We all have long been familiar with this salad and often cook it for the holidays. I offer you a recipe for herring under a fur coat with balls, which inside is similar to the salad we are used to, but outside it looks completely new and original.
Step by step cooking recipe
I’ll start with a little tip. The salad contains mayonnaise, so to make it healthy, I advise you to bake all the vegetables in the oven.
Wash the vegetables, drizzle with olive oil and bake in the oven for 20 minutes. When ready, cool and grate on a medium grater.
Boil eggs and grate on a fine grater.
Separate the herring from the skin, remove all the bones and cut into small cubes.
Peel the onion from the husk, cut very finely.
Now mix all the vegetables, except for the onion, add a little salt to taste and season with mayonnaise.
We form balls. We take a little base, make a cake out of it on the palm of your hand. Put a little onion and herring in the middle, close and roll up the ball.
Place the balls on a platter lined with lettuce. On top of the mayonnaise, make a mesh on the balls.
