Marinade for peas for the winter – a simple and tasty recipe, how to cook step by step

Housewives know the recipe for their perfect universal marinade for their favorite preparations. But what if we deviate a little from the traditional recipe and preserve green peas in a spicy marinade with spices? Let’s experiment, it’s not difficult at all!

Step by step cooking recipe

Let’s start by preparing the filling – the same traditional marinade. To do this, bring the water to a boil, add salt and sugar, boil, stirring, for several minutes until they are completely dissolved.

At the bottom of the sterilized jars, lay out both types of peppercorns, cardamom, cinnamon, clove buds and bay leaf.

Now it’s the turn of the main ingredient, namely green peas. It needs to be blanched in advance. Put prepared peas in jars on top of dry spices, add garlic and chopped carrots. Pour in 1-2 tbsp. scoops of vinegar into each jar, then fill with our boiling brine and cover with clean lids.

Sterilize the jars with the workpiece in a water bath for 20-40 minutes, then roll up, turn upside down, wrap and let cool completely. Store the canned peas in such an unusual way in a cool, dark place. Use the preparation as an independent dish or as a ready-made ingredient for your favorite salads and first courses.
