Mineral water bagels with marmalade and nuts
1. Mix the sifted flour with sugar (1 tbsp), salt, vanilla and baking powder (0.5 tsp). Stir the flour mixture with a whisk to saturate with air.
2. Pour in mineral water (100 ml, carbonated) and stir.
3. Then vegetable oil (90 ml) and knead the dough.
4. Collect the dough in a lump and round.
5. If necessary, add a little flour so that the dough does not stick to your hands. If it turned out very dense, add a little mineral water (1 tbsp each). Put the dough in a transparent bag and leave for 15 minutes.
6. Prepare the topping and cookie filling. Roast the nuts in a dry frying pan and crush with a rolling pin.
7. Mix nuts (3 tablespoons) with sugar (1 tablespoon). Marmalade and marshmallow (I don’t recommend marshmallow, it flows out when heated), cut into small slices. And cook 1/4 cup fruit jelly.
8. After resting, the dough became softer and more plastic. We divide the dough into 2 parts.
9. And round off. We put one part of the test in a bag.
10. Lubricate the table and hands with vegetable oil and roll out the second part of the dough into a circle (~ 40 cm), 1 mm thick. The thinner the circle, the tastier the pastry. Cut the circle into 16 pieces.
11. Put the filling (marmalade or others) on the wide part.
12. We twist the parts of the layer into bagels. It turned out 16 pieces. With the other part of the test, we do the same, starting with step number 11.
13. We cover the baking sheet with baking paper and grease with oil.
14. To keep the nut mixture well on the cookies, grease the top with jelly. Dip the biscuits into the nut mixture and arrange on a baking sheet.
15. Bake the bagels in an oven preheated to 180 C for 20 minutes or until done.
16. Have a nice tea party!
