Plums in sugar syrup are a favorite multifunctional preparation for many housewives. This is a delicious delicacy in itself and an ideal filling for sweet pies, pies and cakes. Sweet syrup can be added to teas, compotes and even chicken marinade!

Step by step cooking recipe

Rinse the plums, pat dry, cut in half and remove the pits.

Pack plum halves tightly into pre-sterilized jars.

Boil water and pour boiling water over fruits in jars. Cover the jars with sterile lids and leave for 10 minutes to warm up.

Pour sugar into a saucepan, add lemon juice and drain the liquid from the jars of plums. Bring the syrup to a boil and boil until the sugar is completely dissolved.

Fill the halves of plums in jars with boiling syrup to the top and immediately roll up. Turn the jars upside down, wrap and leave to cool completely. Store cooled plums in syrup in a cool, dark place.
