Plum jam – a simple and delicious recipe, how to cook step by step

This recipe for plum jam will appeal to fans of experiments in the kitchen. If you add orange and mint to the usual preparation, the jam will acquire a completely new, refreshing taste with light citrus notes. It is very tasty, I advise you to try it.

Step by step cooking recipe

Rinse the plums, remove the stalks and seeds, cut the fruits into 4 parts.

Pour the prepared plums with sugar and leave overnight to let the juice flow.

Then drain the plums in a colander and collect the resulting juice in a bowl for cooking.

Boil the syrup. Bring plum juice to a boil, boil for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Remove the zest from an orange in any convenient way, squeeze out the juice, cut the pulp arbitrarily.

Place plums in a bowl with syrup, add orange juice, zest and orange pieces. Put the workpiece on the fire, bring to a boil and, stirring, boil over low heat until the desired consistency.

At the end of cooking, add sprigs of fresh mint and boil for another 3-5 minutes.

Pour hot jam into sterile jars, seal tightly, wrap and leave to cool completely. Ready jam can be easily stored at room temperature.
