Recipe: Meat with vegetables in sweet and sour sauce with options: you can also without meat
Step by step cooking recipe
Cut one small carrot into slices or strips.
We cut one small green apple into approximately the same pieces as a carrot.
A few cloves of garlic, I have 4 pieces, cut into slices.
2 medium-sized chicken fillets, cut into pieces for frying.
Now we mix the sauce in some bowl: one tablespoon of ketchup, mustard (you can take any mustard, including granular), soy sauce and honey.
Add half a teaspoon of any starch.
And stir everything until smooth.
Fry the chicken in vegetable oil in a frying pan until white and juice is released.
After that, take it out on a plate.
Pour the juice that has stood out from the chicken into the bowl in which the sauce is prepared.
And mix well.
Add oil to the pan and fry the chicken to the degree you like.
After that, add the carrot, apple and garlic.
And fry, again, the way you like it.
When everything is fried, turn off the stove and pour the sauce into the pan.
Mix well and simmer on the switched off stove for a while until thickened.
When serving, you can sprinkle with sesame seeds, roasted in a dry frying pan.
Bon appetit and don’t be afraid to experiment!
Additional Information
Hello fellow cooks!
Today I have a base for you to revel in your fantasy – however, as usual In general, using a simple formula of three abstract terms – vegetables + intricate sauce + meat – you can cook different dishes for the rest of your life and never repeat
We exclude meat from there and get an unbounded set of lenten dishes. We exclude vegetables from the formula and write an encyclopedia “A billion ways to cook meat in sauce.” Well, in general, you understand, I’m still talking about the same thing: who is the king and god in our formula? His Majesty Sauce!
Everything rests on it. And everything else in the formula and, in particular, in our today’s recipe (meat, apple, carrot, garlic) are extras that may change or be absent altogether. Take our basic version and create your masterpieces based on it
