Recipe: Snowman Cookies

Continuing stories about snowmen…

Morning! How sweet it was for some reason to wake up in my grandmother’s bed! It’s cool, but you can hear that grandfather is already chirping in the stove with a poker, throwing coal there, such a special smell of a winter morning in his house. Quickly jumping up, I run across the floor with bare feet to the window … And, seeing colorful packages near the snowman, I scream with happiness! Then I was unaware that my grandparents were those wizards who left gifts for us near the snowman … Thanks to them for this fairy tale! It was a good childhood, happy!

I offer a recipe for very tasty shortbread cookies – tender, crumbly, beautiful.

Such cookies for the New Year holidays will decorate the tea table. Everyone will be delighted, believe me!

Sift flour into a bowl, add powdered sugar, baking powder, salt, cocoa, mix well.

Then add pieces of butter and grind with your hands into wet crumbs, add the yolk and knead the dough, wrap it in cling film and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Roll out the chilled dough into sheets about 2 mm thick and cut into equal strips 10 cm long and about 4 cm thick.

!!! It is convenient to roll out the dough in portions.

Put the dough strips on a baking sheet and bake the cheesecakes in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for about 15-20 minutes, until cooked.

Remove cookies from oven and cool.

Decorate the cookies by drawing the “torso” with melted white chocolate, and the “bucket” and “mouth” with milk chocolate, making the “eyes” from dried blueberries, the “nose” from orange marmalade, and the “buttons” from multi-colored candies.

Put the Snowmen cookies on a dish and serve.

Enjoy your meal!
