Preparation

Before beginning, I have to emphasize that, as in all recipes, there will be ingredients that we do not like or that we prefer not to incorporate, that is why ingredients such as white wine or peppers are optional, that is to the taste of each person. . Now yes, then we will proceed to show the step-by-step explanation of this delicious recipe:

We begin by placing in a saucepan or in an express pot: half an onion, two peeled garlic cloves, a little salt, and the shredded meat, and cover with water. In the event that we are going to cook the meat in the pressure cooker, we will have it done in about 20-25 minutes, and if, on the contrary, we use the saucepan, it will take about 40-45 minutes to cook, it will be just as good, the only thing that it will take a little longer to make.

After this time, we are going to remove the meat from the pot and let it cool. Be careful, we must reserve the broth for later steps. Once cold, we are going to shred the meat finely in the direction of the threads.

Put a jet of oil in the bottom of a frying pan, add the onion and the chopped garlic cloves, let it fry a little, when it is transparent add the chopped red pepper, stir and season to taste, and add the bay leaf and a little of thyme, we will also add the chopped parsley.

Mix well and add the meat, let it fry for 5 minutes so that it takes on the flavor. Add the chopped tomatoes and mix non-stop for at least 5 minutes. Add the tomato sauce, a splash of white wine, and the cup of broth that we had reserved. Stir well until everything is well mixed and thickens a bit, taste and add salt if necessary.

Once the last step is done, remove it from the heat and let it rest. After having rested we can taste it in the way we like best accompanied by rice, French fries, arepas, empanadas, sandwiches, etc.
