We really like preparing pretzels in many different tastes, creating a truly varied and colorful tray. Here’s how to make pretzels and what are the recipes we follow to prepare them!
Pretzels Ai Wurstel
I am among favorites of the little ones but even the greats can hardly resist him. We prepare sausage pretzels with just three ingredients and flavor them with some mustard, but if you want you can also prepare half with mustard and half with ketchup. That’s how!
Ingredients for 4 people:
- 1 roll of ready-made rectangular puff pastry
- 10 sausages
- 2 tablespoons of mustard
Unroll the puff pastry and spread a thin layer of mustard. Lay the first würstel along the short side, roll up and, as soon as the sheet overlaps, press well and cut. Place another würstel and continue until you run out of puff pastry. Then get some cylinders of about 2 cmplace them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and cook a 180°C for 20 minutes or until they are golden brown. Serve them once cooled.
Puff pastry rolls
Of all the pretzels, the recipe we like the most is that of the puff pastry swivels. What drives us crazy is the combination between the pomodoro and the cheese, the same as for pizza, which however is even more accentuated in this preparation with puff pastry. Once again, just a few ingredients are enough to prepare these homemade pretzels.
Ingredients for 4 people:
- 1 roll of puff pastry
- 100 g of pomodoro salsa
- 100 g of aged sliced cheese
- dried oregano to taste
Unroll the puff pastry and spread it on the surface tomato sauce seasoned with oregano and salt. Keep a little distance from the edges to prevent everything from rolling up. Then cover with the sliced cheese and roll up tightly using the parchment paper. Get some slices by a couple of centimetres, place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and cook a 180°C for 10-15 minutes, until they are puffy and golden. Then serve them once cooled.
Rustic puff pastry
Puff pastry rustics are one of the most versatile pretzels recipes ever. In fact, the filling is simple to customize according to your tastes and you can opt for the classic combinations found in bakeries, such as tuna and peppers, or a delicate one perfect for vegetarians, stuffed with lean ricotta and spinach.
Ingredients for 4 people:
- 1 roll of rectangular puff pastry
- 100 g of cooked spinach
- 100 g of cottage cheese
- 2 tablespoons of grated Parmesan
- 1 pinch of nutmeg
- sale q.b.
Chop the spinach cooked and mix them in a bowl with the ricottail parmigianosalt and the nutmeg. Once you have obtained a rather dry filling, transfer it into a pastry bag with a one centimeter smooth nozzle. Roll out a strip about one centimeter from the short side of the pastry, roll it up and cut it as soon as it overlaps. Proceed with another strip of filling, rolling up each time, until all the ingredients are used up. Then cut into chunks 2 cm rustici, place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and cook a 180°C for 15-20 minutes, until the pastry is golden and crunchy. Serve them once cooled.
Puff pastry pretzels and prawns
To make everyone happy, we suggest you also try our puff pastry pretzels with prawns. Simple and with a delicate flavourresemble small brioches and are perfect for enriching your savory offerings even more.
Ingredients for 4 people:
- 1 roll of round puff pastry
- 16 prawn tails
- 1 egg for brushing
- poppy seeds to taste
- sesame seeds to taste
- sale q.b.
Obtained from the sheet 16 slices and place a clean prawn near the widest part. Roll up well from the base to the tip, and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Brush them with egg, decorate with seeds and bake 180°C for 12-15 minutes, until they are golden brown. Serve them once they have cooled down.
Pizzas Of Puff Pastry
The secret that makes the pizzettes present in the pretzels trays so good is precisely that of being prepared with this recipe. Puff pastry pizzas are easy, fast and very tastyexcellent to customize as desired with olives, mushrooms or anchovies according to your tastes.
Ingredients for 4 people:
- 1 roll of puff pastry
- 100 g of tomato puree
- 80 g of mozzarella
- sale q.b.
- pepe q.b.
- extra virgin olive oil to taste
- origano q.b.
Unroll the dough and make some little squares about 3 cm sideways. Place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, brush them with a drizzle of oil and then season them with the sauce of tomato scented with oregano, salt and pepper and the mozzarella well dried cut into chunks. Cook at 200°C for 15 minutes then serve them once warm.
How to prepare a tray of mixed pretzels
The beauty of pretzels is that they can be prepared in many ways without effort. This should therefore be an advantage for the realization of a tray of mixed pretzels, perfect for birthdays or for an aperitif with friends. If you know the tastes of your diners, it shouldn’t be difficult to include them in the homemade pretzels, vice versa, the tastes that we have proposed are usually able to satisfy everyone.
Then, based on the occasion, calculate the amount of pretzels you need. For an aperitif with friends and for a birthday party, 6-8 pieces per person they are more than enough. Keep in mind that it’s always better to have a few more than to stay dry.
