Thick five-minute red rowan jam
Every autumn I prepare a thick rowan jam. I choose these berries, because they have incredible healing properties and are even used as a medicine in traditional medicine. I advise you to have natural medicines at home.
Step by step cooking recipe
Before starting the preparation of jam, rinse the berries well and remove the cuttings, leaves and rotten berries.
Pass the rowan through a meat grinder. I use a medium bait as this makes the jam thicker but you can still feel the berry bits in your mouth.
Mix the berries with sugar, put on fire. Stir constantly and cook for 40 minutes. Excess liquid will evaporate, and you will get the necessary density.
Sterilize jars, pour jam into them and roll up. Store in a dark place.
