Tomatoes in jelly with onions for the winter


Only those who have never tried tomatoes in jelly with onions are skeptical of this recipe. The original appetizer disappears from the table instantly, so you can stock up on it for the winter in large quantities. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours before serving.


  • Tomatoes –
    2,5 kg
  • Garlic –
    500 Mr
  • Gelatin –
    30 Mr
  • Lemon acid
    0,5 c.l.
  • Sugar
    100 Mr
  • Salt
    60 Mr
  • Water (filtered) –
    2,5 l

Step by step cooking recipe

Gelatin pour 150 ml of cold water and put aside for 20 minutes.

Chop the tomatoes and peeled onion.

Arrange vegetables in layers in prepared jars.

Pour boiling water over and leave covered for 30 minutes.

Drain the water into a saucepan, add sugar, salt and citric acid.

Boil for 2 minutes, add the blank with gelatin and immediately remove from heat.

Pour the marinade into jars, roll up and leave warm for a day.
