Masterchef 2022: the new edition with the historic judges Antonino Cannavacciuolo, Giorgio Locatelli and Bruno Barbieri starts tonight 15 December.

MasterChef Italia 2022 starts again with a new season starting tonight Thursday 15 December, on Sky and streaming on NOW. The judges of the program are the starred chefs Bruno Barbieri, Antonino Cannavacciuolo e George Locatelli, who will judge the dishes of the 20 competitors and will determine the new best amateur chef in Italy, a title which last year was won by Tracy Eboigbodin. A very affiliated and now solid jury, confirmed for the fourth consecutive year, ready to judge the creations of the chefs, to listen to their stories, to follow them challenge after challenge, up to electing the best chef.

Masterchef 2022: the episodes

Also this year the first two episodes of MasterChef Italia will feature the Live Cooking. These episodes will air on Sky Uno at 21:15 and will always be available to watch on demand on Sky Go and streaming on NOW. The Live Cooking events will provide aspiring chefs with the first opportunity to present themselves and their culinary philosophy to the judges, with the aim of impressing and winning over them.

The chefs will have a pantry available during this first phase to prepare their dish before finishing it in front of the three judges. With three “yes” you go directly to the Masterclass; with two you have to wear the gray apron and access the intermediate phase of the “challenges” to further challenge himself and try to get the three yeses.

Once formed, this year’s class will begin the traditional competition with the proven methodology, which will also have many new features. The competition will build on the contestants’ talent and creativity as they strive to become professional chefs. The episodes will be full of twists between Mystery Box, Invention Test, Pressure Test and the thrilling Skill Test; these challenges will see all the competitors, without exception, put themselves to the test episode after episode.

External and guests of this edition

The iconic will also be organized external, or outdoor cooking challenges on artisanal dishes based on local ingredients and recipes, as well as a way for the contestants to live the experience of working in a real kitchen. Among the locations that this year will be the setting for the races there will be Bassano del Grappathe Marmore Falls, Tropea and Cervinia.

There will also be many guests episode after episode, great chefs already known in the old editions. For example, the pastry genius will not be missing Iginio Massari, who will judge the most feared challenge each year by all the contestants. Other guests will be: Davide Scabin, Enrico Crippa, Jeremy Chan, Mauro Colagreco and Giancarlo Perebellini.
